... cause I miss my boyfriend!

He is 6,000 miles away...
and I wish we were doing this:

or this...

...or maybe this!
Love the idea of a romantic photoshooting, hope we will do one soon...

What about a vintage inspired setting
Do you like that?

Also love the idea of wearing a vintage gown...
ruffles + lace + baby pink + pearls = my name all over
...and a rock star headpiece to add just the right touch!

Styling for Rio de Janeiro's lifestyle

from waynetippetts.com
So as I am getting used with the Rio de Janeiro's lifestyle and its 86 degrees climate I wonder... how can I adapt my sense of style to the hot weather?

It has been quite shocking since 7 days ago I was surrounded by boots, stockings, coats and jackets which I learn to love and I now miss it. Yes, the girl that usually complains about being cold actually loves it - go figure! I do complain how much I freeze at the frozen products section at the grocery shop, I set my car's seat heat on maximum (and smile of joy everytime!) and I kept a mobile heater station by my feet at work for as long as can remember. But - I said but - I love it, I love the layers, the oversized jackets, oh and the fitted ones too, and leggings, stockings, hats, beanies, scarfs... but my favorite are boots! Is there anything more stylish?

I must say that even on this hot weather I shall never give up on them - not on my beloved cowboy boots. I don't care if they are in or out, but they are on my feet! Somehow I managed to squeeze 2 of my favorite ones in my suitcase and I will be gladly pairing them with short summer dresses...

Reinventing my career and rediscovering my sparkle...

So a few things have changed since last time I posted. I said good bye to some of the most fabulous friends and co-workers, I gave notice at my job, put all my furniture, clothes and car in storage, kissed my man until the very last minute and got a plane back to Brazil. The reason? To follow my heart.

I will be in Rio de Janeiro for the next couple of months - so wish me luck! I will be studying while I am here and hopefully finding that lit sparkle that we all need in our daily lives. I want to shift my career path into a new direction and feel connected with something bigger. I want to learn, to grow and to reinvent who I am as a designer. I want to be in love with a project in a way that motivates me to go beyond the normal standards of being just great and actually making it extraordinaryBecause at the end of the day 'being just great' will never be enough...

So speaking about following your heart and about Rio de Janeiro and about extraordinary projects... the 2016 Summer Olympics will be hosted in Rio - the very first edition held in South America! In order to create the logo and identity system of the big event 139 local design agencies were developing and pitching their proposals. The well deserved winner was the carioca office called Tatil Design (check their website here).
Their challenge was to design a symbol that would translate to the whole world the passion and transformation of our city and our country. An innovative symbol that would represent our welcoming personalities and our lifestyle. The tridimensional hug is pretty awesome!

Watch their video with their inspirations and design process - is pretty amazing!

Have you found your sparkle?
