Dear velvet, I love you! I am aware that a lot of people don't like you or they judge you for being too luxurious, but I get you. I will be forever your number 1 fan and hope that one day I can decorate a room entirely covered with your plush touch. Until then... you will live on my dreams...
Now seriously: I have been working with vendors to produce my textiles and soon they will be available for purchase on organic cotton, linen and silk but I am hoping to find a source that can produce my prints on velvet as well. Here is the inspiration...
And let me add here how happy I am with all the support and encouragement you all have given me with my collection - promise to share with you once it is ready! Thank you all for being so lovely and supportive!

Vanessa, you have no idea how much I love velvet! In fact, my dream furniture is a custom made velvet sofa. I love how luxe velvet is but for now, with a kid, there is no way I can have anything upholstered in velvet because it's not practical in our household.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I love the fourth picture with the pink chair and the eighth picture with the lace-like ottoman. And I am not even a pink lover!
Thanks for sharing these beautiful images and I hope you will have tremendous success with your collection in the near future!

The round green ottoman is my favourite decorative piece from your selection. I have to say I haven't been a fan of velvet so far, but I'm starting to reconsider little by little. Never say never. I would love to see your creations and the prints on velvet you mention. Hope you have a wonderful week! :) Ada
ReplyDeleteSensational prints...and these interiors are a great help for me right now - I'm desperatly searching for an inspiration to my room :) Thanks! Kisses!
ReplyDeletehi my sweet friend! Yes... everything is okay. you are so sweet to ask. I removed that post because of a few things. I wanted it to be as hopeful as possible for my Uncle. But i feared that my honesty in that post... if he was to ever read it... might be too much?? So anyways... I removed it. AND... I come from a very conservative Christian upbringing... and a few of the things in that post weren't exactly "conservative Christian". Which... is exactly why I wrote them. :) But anyways... hehe. The reason why I removed the post was more for my Uncle Scott. what I want to tell you now... is that I have watched in the past 5 days.... the movie, "The Shift" over 5 times. And let me tell you.... you are a "God send". I'm serious... blogging was all worth it just to meet you my friend. I came from a very, "conservative Christian" upbringing... and for the past 3-4 years have been questioning alot of things... and these questions haven't made me lost faith... but it has made me aware of the meditative mind. All "religious stuff" sort of fell away. And that was what was left. And... seriously... you must have been in-tune with God's energy because that movie was exactly what i needed. THANK YOU. from the bottom of my heart. Another thing... I am soooo sorry you had to go through a scare with finding a lump. That is sooo scary... I too had to go through that a couple years ago... and it was just soooo scary. I'm SOOO THANKFUL that it turned out to be fine my friend! SOOO thankful! but sooo scary. And it must have been aweful to read my post at the same time!!! UGHHH!!!! Anyways.... all my love to you.
ReplyDeleteVelvets are wonderful! I love it for upholstered furniture. Enjoy the beautiful day, Kellie xx
ReplyDeleteah i love all of those velvet examples. so prettttyy.. wow that would be crazy amazing to have your designs made on velvet.. but on any fabric is pretty great!
ReplyDeleteif you have time to go to the grand canyon while you're in vegas you totally should.. it's amazing.. it's really funny to go there after seeing vegas though because they're so different it's almost confusing haha.. i saw the grand canyon first and then drove to vegas and it was like another planet!
I am right there with you on my love for velvet! There is no fabric quite as luxurious! I just ordered two charcoal velvet chairs recently...
