I have been flirting with a trip to India for years now and still haven't had the guts to pack everything and go by myself. But I love the architecture, the tile patterns, the textiles and how much their spirituality is so present in the daily routine. I can only think that I would have an awesome time... and as I was researching online for images for this India-inspired post I bumped into this stunning photo shooting of the brand Ports 1961 for their last year fall collection. Have you seen it? I didn't until now and I feel in love with everything about it... the location, the styling, the model, the lighting... and I think you can never go wrong to choose old buildings as a set design - specially an old building with so much rich architecture details such as those. Gosh I am so craving a trip to India...

hello my dear...
ReplyDeletethese are stunning, beautiful and gorgeous. i am so happy you found them and are sharing them with us. i'd love to take that trip with you as well. i am always amazed at grand architecture, exotic locations and different cultures of life.
thanks so much for commenting in my blog recently, lovely hearing from you. i've done my research on your question about the butterfly shoes (aka Cesare Paciotti 521310B) you and so many of my other blog friends are loving. they are from cesare paciotti and believe are from his 2009 fall/winter collection. depending on where you find them expect to pay anything around $800 to $1200 for them. if i could i would, they are simply and utterly fantastico!
here is a link to cesare paciotti for you...

What a stunning editorial...Taj Mahal is one of my dream destination...I hope one day I'll have a chance to visit. I don't know, there is something about this building...-besides the obvious and outstanding beauty of it- I guess its history. The love...it's so romantic.

ReplyDeleteThese images are so beautiful. It is also one of my life long dreams to go to India. I have always been fascinated with the Indian culture, and I have dreamed of going to an Indian wedding, which is typically a week long affair, full of parties and ongoing celebration. The vibrant colors, textures, and stunning jewelry that make up the Indian woman's wardrobe has me swooning.

Ah.. e sobre ir a Índia, não precisa ter pressa. Na hora certa a Índia vai até voce. ;)
OMG me too! I have always had this inexplicable longing for India and would love to go there. Only I don't necessarily want to take the kids there - for many reasons. I am definitely doing this dream trip one day and my dear friend Manvi of the fab Mochatini blog has promised to guide me.. That is if she can time the trip from DC to India at the same time as I go.. You should join us!
